Siddharth and Garima wrote some massive films like ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Padmaavat’, ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Raam Leela’ and ‘Kabir Singh’. They have also penned lyrics for big films. Then they turned director with ‘Dukaan’ couple of years back and now they have commenced their second project too.
Film has Tahir Raj Bhasin and Mithila Palkar in lead. Mithila Parker has done some popular shows like ‘Little Things’ on ott and crucial role in ‘Karwaan’. In 2019, she acted in Netflix original film ‘Chopsticks’ directed by Sachin Yardi. Palkar’s next project was the Netflix film ‘Tribhanga’ directed by Renuka Shahane featuring Kajol.
Tahir Raj Bhasin is well known for smashing debut opposite Rani Mukerji in ‘Mardaani’ followed by Sushant – Shraddha starrer ‘Chichore’, Taapsee Pannu starrer ‘Loop Lapeta’ and Netflix series ‘Ye Kaali Kaali Aankhein’.
Film was shot few months back and mostly all details kept under wraps. Film will be releasing toward end of this year.
About the film:
Film is tentatively titled ‘Saala Ishqiyaa’ and it is based upon honour killing. But it’s a new interesting take on honour killing where young couple tries to take revenge against society and parents.
Producer Sony Pictures released multilingual ‘Major’ with limited success and disaster ‘Nikamaa’ recently.
