Varun Dhawan recently started shooting for an upcoming action entertainer movie, which is being produced by Atlee and his wife Priya Mohan’s banner A For Apple Studios, and backed by Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios. The untitled project is remake of Atlee’s Theri directed by Kalees, best known for the 2019 Tamil techno-thriller Kee, and is scheduled to be released on May 31, 2024.
While the details of the movie’s plot have been kept under wraps, there have been reports that it is an official remake of Atlee-directed Theri, which starred Thalapathy Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the leading roles. Fans have been speculating about the possibility of the movie being a Theri remake since Varun Dhawan’s announcement of the project with Atlee. Keerthy Suresh is set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Varun Dhawan in the movie.

Their Remake To Release On 31st May 2024
The makers of Theri’s Hindi version today announced that the film will be hitting theatres on May 31, 2024. Cine1 Studios took to their official Twitter handle to share the announcement that reads, “Cine1 Studios and A For Apple Studios join hands to bring one of the biggest action entertainers with Varun Dhawan leading the cast. Written and Directed by Kalees Produced by Murad Khetani & Priya Atlee. Presented by Atlee.”
