Faraaz Review: Hansal Mehta Sensitively Portrays Dhaka Terror With Zahaan Kapoor’s Exceptional Debut Showcasing Hope & Courage

Hansal has kept aside sensationalism and tried to bring out the best in all debutant actors.

Directed by Hansal Mehta, Faraaz marks the debut of Shashi Kapoor’s Grandson Zahan. It is produced by T-Series and Benaras Media Works. The cast consists of Aditya Rawal, Aamir Ali. It released earlier today in cinemas across the country.

Plot

The tale is based on the real-life terrorist attack that annihilated a Dhaka cafe, which is a tense hostage drama that takes place over one claustrophobic night. It’s a heroic tale about a young boy, Zahaan, who plays Faraaz Ayaaz Hossain

Analysis

The powerful thriller presents Zahaan in a situation of standing against hate. He delivers exceptionally well. Aditya Rawal’s antagonist role is interesting as it holds viewers’ attention.

Simeen (Juhi Babbar Soni) who plays Faraz’s mother performs gracefully. The Musafir Ko Ghar Hi Jaana song has moving lyrics. Hansal has kept aside sensationalism and tried to bring out the best in all debutant actors.

Verdict

It doesn’t waste viewers’ time as it brings them to see the hostage scenes. It’s not attempting to be a Friday blockbuster but a movie which completely sets out differently in Hansal’s directions’ record, which could grow gradually.

Film will be complete box office washout and might find some takers on ott.
