Prior to her directorial journey, Farah Khan established herself as a prominent choreographer in the Hindi film industry, collaborating with numerous top-notch actors. Recently, she unveiled an interesting revelation about the filming process of the song Saajanji Ghar Aaye from the 1998 cult Shah Rukh Khan – Kajol Starrer Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Farah Khan disclosed that during the shoot, actor Salman Khan would make brief appearances on set, spending only a few hours, leading to the utilization of his body double for half of the song’s sequences.
During a recent appearance on the dance reality show India’s Best Dancer, Farah Khan made an interesting revelation in the presence of Salman Khan’s body double for the song, Rit. She expressed, “Rit ji was incredibly adorable. Let me tell you, in the song Saajanji Ghar Aaye, Rit ji performed as Salman’s duplicate for half of the song. The reason being, Salman would only come on set for a brief period of 2-3 hours. Therefore, Rit ji took charge of all the back shots, top shots, and wide shots.” Farah Khan’s statement shed light on the fact that Rit played a significant role in completing the song sequences as Salman’s stand-in.
Kubbra Sait Similar Incidence About Salman Khan From The Sets Of Ready
In the movie, Salman portrayed the character of Aman, who was supposed to marry Anjali, played by Kajol. The song Saajanji Ghar Aaye was set against the backdrop of their engagement. Another intriguing incident involving Salman on a film set was shared by actor Kubbra Sait. She recounted an anecdote from the shoot of the film Ready, where she portrayed the role of a house help. Kubbra revealed in an interview that during the Colombo shoot, Salman arrived considerably late, and upon his arrival, he immediately requested lunch to be served.
Recalling her experience, Kubbra Sait shared an amusing incident from the set involving Salman Khan. She revealed, “When Salman Khan walked in, he flexed his muscles and declared, ‘It’s lunch break time.’ Since I had only consumed two apples the entire day and was eagerly awaiting work to commence, I thought, ‘Why not have lunch?'” What she found delightful about working with Salman Khan was the sense of camaraderie during mealtime. They would gather around a large table, and Salman would inquire, “Have you eaten? Have you eaten?” Kubbra highlighted the significance of sharing a meal together, emphasizing how it fosters a positive atmosphere devoid of grudges. Once the meal was over, they resumed shooting on the set.
