The comedy classic No Entry, which starred big names like Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, Bipasha Basu, and Celina Jaitly, left audiences in stitches with its slapstick humour. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film became a fan favourite.
Now, fans are eagerly awaiting the sequel. However, despite the announcement of No Entry 2, the movie hasn’t yet begun filming due to unresolved casting decisions.
Fardeen Khan Shares Update On No Entry 2
Recently, Fardeen Khan shared some updates that might leave fans feeling a bit disappointed. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Fardeen confirmed that the much-anticipated sequel is indeed in the works.
He revealed that the sequel will have a completely new cast. This means Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Fardeen Khan won’t be coming back.
“It’s been announced, but we’re not in it. It’s got a whole new star cast. So, damn it!” Fardeen joked during the interview. He went on to encourage fans to reach out to producer Boney Kapoor for more details. “You should call Boney Kapoor for this,” he said.

As No Entry recently celebrated 19 years, Fardeen took a trip down memory lane, recalling his experience filming the comedy. For Fardeen, No Entry was a significant moment in his career. “It was my first attempt at all-out comedy,” he shared. “I had to play a silly, goofy character who wasn’t very smart but was vulnerable and naive. It was very different from how I saw myself, and it freed me up as an actor.”
Fardeen credited Boney Kapoor for believing in his comedic abilities after seeing him in Khushi. He added that No Entry was a remake of the 2002 film Charlie Chaplin, where his role was originally portrayed by Prabhu Deva. “Of course, I interpreted it quite differently,” Fardeen remarked.
Fardeen Khan Praises Anees Bazmee & His No Entry Team
He didn’t hold back in praising the talented team that made the film a success. “Boney put together a great team, starting with Anees Bazmee, who’s the king of that genre,” he said. “The lines Anees gives you are so well-written that sometimes we couldn’t keep a straight face while filming.”
Fardeen also spoke highly of his co-stars Anil Kapoor and Salman Khan, noting how each of them nailed their roles. “It all came together well,” he said, “The ladies also did an amazing job, and they enjoyed their roles too.”
Reflecting on the comedic genre, Fardeen acknowledged how challenging it is to make people laugh. “Comedy is the hardest to do, not just from an acting point of view, but also from a writing perspective. You can’t force the audience to laugh; it’s a spontaneous reaction.”
Despite the ongoing reports stating names like Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor, there’s still no official word on who will be in the cast of No Entry 2.
