Bollywood’s ‘Baadshah’ Shah Rukh Khan has once again proven his dominance. For the fiscal year 2024, Khan has emerged as the highest tax-paying celebrity.
According to the latest report by Fortune India, King Khan contributed a staggering Rs 92 crore in taxes, surpassing other top stars.

Thalapathy Vijay follows closely behind in the list. The South Indian superstar secured the second spot with a contribution of Rs 80 crore. Despite a quieter year at the box office, Salman Khan remained a major player in the tax world, ranking third with Rs 75 crore.
The list also highlights the contributions of sports figures. Cricket icon Virat Kohli made a notable entry, securing the fifth position with a tax payment of Rs 66 crore. Kohli’s success on the field and lucrative endorsement deals have solidified his place among the top contributors.

The list also features comedian Kapil Sharma, and Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, and Katrina Kaif, with their tax contributions ranging from Rs 11 crore to Rs 26 crore. Mohanlal and Allu Arjun both contributed Rs 14 crore each, while Hardik Pandya paid Rs 13 crore.
This ranking not only highlights the financial success of these celebrities but also their substantial role in contributing to the country’s tax revenue.
Coming back to SRK, the superstar is expected to make his much-awaited comeback with his next film King, after his previous blockbusters Pathaan and Jawan. Suhana Khan will also appear in this new project and Abhishek Bachchan has been finalised as a villain.
