Sikandar: Massive Dharavi Set Built In Mumbai, Salman Khan Films Light Action Scenes With Body Doubles For Other Stunts After Actor’s Rib Injury

Salman Khan shoots light action scenes for Sikandar at Dharavi set built in Mumbai. Body double performs other stunts due to Khan’s rib injury

Salman Khan is gearing up for an intense phase of his upcoming film Sikandar, with key filming taking place in Mumbai. The production, which started in late August, is split between two key locations: the SRPF Ground in Goregaon and a hospital in Marol.

Notably, a massive set replicating Dharavi has been constructed at the Goregaon venue to add authenticity to the film’s backdrop.

Salman Khan Filming Light Action Sequences, His Fight Scenes Will Be Shot After Actor’s Recovery

According to a Mid-day report, a significant portion of Sikandar will be filmed at these locations over the next two weeks. The set in Goregaon is designed to capture the gritty essence of Dharavi, where Salman Khan will tackle elaborate action sequences. Director AR Murugadoss and his team are in full swing, working hard to complete these scenes.

Salman Khan recently sustained a rib injury, which has raised concerns about how the film’s intense fight scenes will be managed. The production team has devised a plan to work around this issue.

“The team is shooting with Salman between 4 pm and 10 pm, focusing mostly on light action due to his injury,” a source revealed.

To cover the more physically demanding shots and stunts, body doubles are stepping in. Salman’s own fight sequences will be filmed later, once he has fully recovered.

Next Shoot To Take Place At A Hyderabad Palace In November

The film’s grand vision doesn’t stop with Mumbai. After completing the current schedule, the crew is set to move to a lavish palace in India for the next phase of shooting. This segment, planned for November, is expected to last 15 to 20 days and aims to elevate the film’s scale and production values.

Sikandar is shaping up to be a major release for Eid 2025. Salman Khan will portray a character that blends arrogance and intensity, drawing parallels to a king’s lineage.

As previously reported, this role is designed to showcase a compelling bad-boy persona. “He is a Sikandar in the true sense, and this portrayal will resonate with audiences looking for a compelling bad-boy persona,” an earlier report noted.
