Fans eagerly anticipating a reunion between Farhan Akhtar and Shah Rukh Khan in the Don franchise will have to wait a bit longer. We all know that Don 3 is in the works, but SRK has opted not to be a part of it.
However, Farhan has hinted that a future collaboration with the Bollywood superstar is still on the cards.
Farhan Akhtar On Plans To With Shah Rukh Khan
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Farhan Akhtar addressed the concerns of fans disheartened by Shah Rukh Khan’s exit from the Don franchise. He offered a glimmer of hope, confirming that a partnership with SRK is likely.
“Yeah, absolutely yeah. We’ll find something that we want to work on together, and I’m sure we will,” Akhtar shared.
He further explained, “You just have to find something that you can connect on with somebody,” and reassured fans with a confident, “100%.”

While it was a great 2023 for King Khan, he is now prepping up for his next, King. He will be sharing screen space with her daughter Suhana Khan in this Sujoy Ghosh directorial. He also has Pathaan 2 lined up.
Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of his second directorial, Lakshya, which starred Hrithik Roshan. Known for his versatility in the film industry, Akhtar is now focused on Don 3.
This third instalment in the iconic franchise is highly anticipated, with Ranveer Singh stepping into the titular role for the first time and Kiara Advani as the leading lady. Their on-screen pairing is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the series.
In addition to Don 3, Akhtar is also working on the much-awaited film Jee Le Zaraa. Announced in 2021, this project has faced multiple delays but remains highly anticipated. The film features a star-studded female cast, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif, and promises to be an engaging road-trip drama.
The delays have been due to scheduling conflicts, but fans are still excited about the potential of this unique story.
