A stage collapse occurred during actor-filmmaker-singer Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming live performance at a college fest in Indore on Wednesday. The incident was captured in several videos and photos circulating on the internet. Farhan was scheduled to perform at the BGI Timelapse festival, which was planned for April 5 in Indore and April 6 in Bhopal.
According to reports, a wind gust toppled the lighting and other equipment, causing the high stage to fall, and a piece of the scaffolding hit a university building. In the video, a group of people can be seen hurrying towards the collapsed stage to check for casualties. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Many fans and well-wishers of Farhan blamed the vendor for the stage collapse. Meanwhile, the organizers have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident.
On the professional front, Farhan was last seen in Toofaan and will soon be directing an upcoming Bollywood film, Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt. The film is written by Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Reema Kagti and produced by Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Farhan Akhtar.
