Bollywood actor Salman Khan recently attended the press conference of the 68th Filmfare Awards 2023, where he took a dig at the younger actors in the industry. The actor stated that he, along with Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan, can give the new lot of actors a tough competition.
When asked about his thoughts on the new actors in the industry, Salman Khan replied that they are all talented and hardworking, but his era of contemporaries won’t be retiring anytime soon. He further added that their films still work, and so they hike their fees, and the younger actors follow suit, even if their films aren’t successful.
Addressing the notion that Hindi films are not doing well anymore, Salman said that filmmakers today have a different understanding of India and feel it’s limited to Andheri to Colaba. However, Hindustan is way different, and they start from the east of the railway stations.
“Today filmmakers have a different understanding of India. They feel it’s from Andheri to Colaba. The filmmakers that I have met and interacted; they are too cool. They make that kind of content. However, Hindustan is way different. They start from the east of the railway stations.” “I hope my words don’t come to bite me. Bhari nahi padhna chaiye… People shouldn’t question what kind of a film I have made. It is releasing on April 21 and I hope everyone likes it,” he stated.
Salman Khan is now looking forward to the release of his upcoming film, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, which is produced by Salma Khan and directed by Farhad Samji. The movie, which also stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Pooja Hegde, Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, and many others, promises to have all the elements of a typical Salman Khan film – action, comedy, drama, and romance.
‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ is slated for release on Eid 2023 and will be a worldwide release by Zee Studios. Salman Khan fans are eagerly waiting to see their favorite actor back on the big screen.
