Universal Pictures has delayed the much-awaited Fast & Furious 9 until June 25. It was previous slated to race into theatres on May 28
It has been reported that Universal wanted to push the movie to the end of 2021 or even 2022. However, observing the positive developments with the vaccine and the possible reopening of Los Angeles theatres soon the company seems hopeful.
However, there are speculations the film may also shift to another date. New York City is the second-largest moviegoing region in the United States, are scheduled to start reopening on Friday.
Since summer is the most lucrative season Theatre operators including AMC Entertainment, Cineworld Plc and Cinemark Holdings Inc are hoping for the best.
Now that the situation is yet not considered normal movie studios are not considering to release there most expensive action flicks until they are sure of getting a good response.
