Tamil cinematographer and director KN Anand passed away today. The renowned filmmaker took his last breath in a hospital in Chennai.
According to the reports, the talented artist dies due to cardiac arrest.
KN Anand started his career as a photo-journalist. He started assisting acclaimed cinematographer PC Sreeram in Tamil films, name few of them are Gopura Vasalile, Meera, Devar Magan, Amaran and Thiruda Thiruda. KV Anand made his directorial debut in 2005 with the film Kanaa Kanden.
He also won the National Award for Malayalam film titled “Thenmavin Kombath” in 1994.
Members of the film industry paid tribute to the filmmaker on social media.
