Hrithik Roshan is all set to star in ‘Fighter’, which is touted as India’s first aerial action film. Directed by Siddharth Anand, who previously worked with Roshan in the blockbuster hit “War”, The upcoming movie “Fighter” promises to be a high-octane thriller. What’s more, the film will also mark the first time that Roshan will share the screen with Deepika Padukone, one of Bollywood’s leading actresses. Recently filmmaker Siddharth Anand revealed some interesting details about Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s character in ‘Fighter’ movie.
In an interview with India Today, Siddharth Anand said, “It is my third film with Hrithik Roshan. Bang Bang and War were really different in the characters. Rajveer and Kabir are completely opposite characters, Completely different personalities. ‘Patty’ the character that Hrithik is playing in ‘Fighter’ has made it on its own and he is like a ‘chameleon’. He just adapts and becomes that character for that one year. So he can bring a certain genuineness to it that can last over a franchise so it is not just made for that moment. He becomes that person.”
“Patty is something that Hrithik has really worked hard on to make it different from Kabir and Rajveer. It’s really exciting to see him like that. He has put in a lot of effort. It’s a dream for a director to have an actor who just submits himself to that film for a long time. He’s a joy.”
Siddharth Anand also revealed some more details about the strong female character role of Deepika Padukone in the movie. He said, “My female parts are really strong and very exciting. Deepika is also playing the role of an airforce officer in the film. She’s part of the elite unit of the air force and it’s based on a lot of reality and authenticity. So something that Deepika also has bitten into it and her character is something that she has not played before. Honestly, It’s a lot like her in real life, The character that she’s playing in the film. So she is so much fun on the set and she is translating that character as a real good tucker to its ethic character. It’s really exciting, it’s too early but it’s fun.”
The film ‘Fighter’ stars Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the main lead and reportedly the movie is expected to be India’s first aerial action flick. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi in major roles. ‘Fighter’ will be released in theaters on January 25, 2024.
