From Diwali to Republic Day, Akshay Kumar locks all major holidays for his 5 releases

The Maharashtra Chief Minister has agreed to reopen theatres and auditoriums in October, and Bollywood is overwhelmed with a massive release schedule, but Akshay Kumar is the only actor with the most films coming out and that too on all holidays and festivals which means getting more footfalls in the cinema halls than any other normal day releases.

Sooryavanshi, Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, Bachchan Pandey, and Ram Setu were all scheduled for release, however due to the pandemic, most of Akshay Kumar’s projects were pushed back or postponed due to production concerns.

Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Akshay Kumar as Anti-Terrorism Squad commander DCP Veer Sooryavanshi and Katrina Kaif, is the fourth instalment of the Cop Universe franchise. The film will be released on October 22, 2021 which means the film has booked the Diwali weekend for itself and going to bring the cinemas with a bang at the Box Office.

Chandraprakash Dwivedi directs Yash Raj Films’ epic historical drama Prithviraj. The film is based on Prithviraj Chauhan’s life. For the first time, Manushi Chillar and Akshay Kumar are cast together. The film will be released on January 21, 2022, which states that the Khiladi Kumar has taken over the Republic Day week for his film.

Bachchan Pandey, directed by Farhad Samji and starring Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez, was funded by the Nadiadwala Grandsons. The film will be released in theatres on March 4, 2022.

Raksha Bandhan is a family drama directed by Aanand L Rai about the love, connecting, and attachment between brother and sister. The film will be released in theatres on August 11, 2022, which means the film will be out on Rakshabandhan, which is the best date of 2022 due to the following holidays:

August 11 – Raksha Bandhan
August 13 – Saturday
August 14 – Sunday
August 15 – Independence Day
August 16 – Parsi New Year
August 18/19 – Janmashtami

Abhishek Sharma directed Ram Setu, which stars Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nushrratt Bharuccha in prominent roles. It is Amazon Prime Video’s first Indian co-production, with a theatrical premiere on October 21, 2022, coinciding with Diwali.
