Bobby Deol made a strong comeback with Animal, but his solo films reportedly struggle to find buyers. Read for more details!

Bobby Deol has seen many ups and downs in his career. He ruled the ’90s with hits like Gupt and Soldier but struggled in the 2000s. His recent success with Animal brought him back into the spotlight.

Fans celebrated his comeback on social media and named him “Lord Bobby” However, despite all the attention, some of his films remain unreleased.

Teesvi Manzil And Shlok: The Desi Sherlock Stuck In Limbo

Two of his projects, Teesvi Manzil (previously Penthouse) and Shlok: The Desi Sherlock, have yet to hit screens. Both films generated buzz during production, but no one knows when they will be released.

Abbas-Mustan directed Teesvi Manzil, a thriller based on the Belgian film Loft (2008). The story follows five married men who share a penthouse for secret affairs. Their lives turn upside down when they find a woman’s dead body inside. The film features Arjun Rampal, Sharman Joshi, and Mouni Roy alongside Bobby.

Netflix originally planned to release it but later dropped the project. JioCinema picked it up, but the film remains stuck with no updates.

Kunal Kohli’s Shlok: The Desi Sherlock presents Bobby Deol as a detective. The spy thriller also introduces singer Ananya Birla to Bollywood. The team completed shooting in December 2022, but the film is still waiting for a release.

Bobby Deol Struggling With His Solo Projects?

Despite Bobby’s powerful performance in Animal, it is being said that his solo projects struggle to find buyers. His role as the antagonist Abrar received huge praise, but producers remain hesitant. The film industry now focuses on fresh narratives and younger stars, making it harder for veteran actors to secure big releases.

OTT platforms helped Bobby revive his career, but they also created tough competition. While some actors evolved with changing trends, Bobby has struggled to stay consistent. His role in the Tamil film Kanguva had mixed reactions & it proved that strong performances don’t always guarantee box-office success.

For Bobby to sustain his comeback, he may need to take on more experimental roles and work with innovative directors. His journey back to stardom is promising but still uncertain.
