Hera Pheri and its sequel starred Akshay z Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, which released in 2000 and 2006, respectively. Part one was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 7.5 cr and earned Rs 17.8 cr, whereas Phir Hera Pheri’s budget stood at Rs 18 cr and collected Rs 69.12 cr at the Box-office. First film was cult and second was hit too.
It was scheduled to go on floors in October 2023 but began shooting promo on February 21 at Empire Studio in Mumbai, where they also shot for Hera Pheri in 1999. The latest bollywood news is fans have begun petition to replace Farhad Samji (known for Housefull 4) in the Hera Pheri 3, which is reportedly to be titled as Hera Pheri 4.
Description on Change.org states, “Clearly as the title suggests, we do not want Farhad Samji directing a classic film franchise such as Hera Pheri. His track record or previous films directed has not been satisfying for which the film Phir Hera Pheri needs a replacement.”
