Gadar – Ek Prem Katha (2001) remains ingrained in memory not just for its gripping content, but also for its unparalleled box office achievements. The film featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel took its time to surpass previous records and establish groundbreaking new ones. In contrast, Gadar 2 has swiftly begun setting records within the first three days of its release. The tremendous demand for the movie has prompted numerous theaters to introduce post-midnight and early-morning screenings. This phenomenon has become a regular occurrence in Mumbai, where films like Sooryavanshi (2021), Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), Drishyam 2 (2022), and most recently Oppenheimer (2023) have all embraced late-night shows. Notably, this trend has also caught on in smaller towns and centers this time.
