Rohit Shetty’s comedy universe is packing its bags for Goa again, and this time the scale is getting bigger. Golmaal 5 is moving into a crucial new phase as the team prepares for a major schedule in the coastal state, a location that has long been tied to the franchise’s brand of chaos, colour and comic confusion.
Golmaal 5 Heads To Goa In June
The next major schedule of Golmaal 5 is expected to begin from the third week of June. The Goa leg is being planned as one of the biggest stretches of the film so far, with key comic set pieces involving the franchise’s boys gang.
Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar are expected to join the unit during this phase. The makers have also planned a lavish dance sequence featuring the ensemble, giving the schedule a strong song and comedy focus along with the larger narrative portions.
Goa has always carried strong recall value for the Golmaal series. Several memorable moments from earlier instalments were staged against the coastal backdrop, and the setting has become closely associated with Rohit Shetty’s freewheeling comic grammar. For the fifth film, the location has been woven into the screenplay to bring scale, nostalgia and visual energy to the franchise.

Golmaal 5 is directed by Rohit Shetty and continues the Hindi comedy franchise that began with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006. The series has featured Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu across its previous instalments, while Akshay Kumar’s addition to the new film has become one of its biggest talking points.
The film is being mounted as an ensemble comedy built around confusion, friendship and larger-than-life comic situations. Its Goa schedule is expected to carry the franchise’s familiar energy while giving the new chapter a bigger visual canvas.

Ajay Devgn has had a packed run across 2024 and 2025 with theatrical releases including Maidaan, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, Singham Again, Raid 2, Son of Sardaar 2 and De De Pyaar De 2. His confirmed upcoming theatrical slate includes Dhamaal 4, scheduled for July 2026, Drishyam 3, scheduled for October 2026, and Ranger, scheduled for December 2026.
Akshay Kumar’s recent releases include Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5, Kannappa, Jolly LLB 3 and Bhooth Bangla. His confirmed upcoming theatrical projects include Welcome To The Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan and scheduled for November 2026, along with Priyadarshan’s Haiwaan and an untitled Anees Bazmee film listed for December 2026.
