As the beloved Bollywood classic Swarg approaches its 34th anniversary, filmmaker Anees Bazmee took a stroll down memory lane, sharing cherished moments from the film’s production on his Instagram page.

The director delighted fans by posting nostalgic pictures from the sets of the movie.

One snapshot captured Bazmee alongside renowned director David Dhawan, both dressed in contrasting white and black outfits, radiating the bond they shared while working on Swarg.

Another photo depicted Bazmee enjoying a cup of tea while Dhawan and the late legendary actor Rajesh Khanna shared a jovial moment.

Captioning the post, Bazmee expressed his gratitude for the journey, marking the milestone of 34 years since the release of Swarg and acknowledging the winning collaboration between himself, Dhawan, and Govinda.

Bazmee extended his thanks to his co-creators, recognising their pivotal role in crafting unforgettable cinema. The post garnered admiration from fans and peers alike, with actor Arjun Kapoor lauding them as “Masters of Comedy,” while actor Aparshakti Khurana and others showered praises and expressed awe.

Swarg Stills Remains Viewers’ Favourite Family Drama

Swarg, directed by David Dhawan, tells the story of Krishna, a compassionate man navigating the challenges of providing for his family while staying true to his principles. His life takes a significant turn when he encounters Balraj, a wealthy businessman who offers him a job and a chance at a better life. The movie boasts an ensemble cast including Rajesh Khanna, Govinda, Juhi Chawla, Paresh Rawal, among others. Even today, the film is remembered by the audience.

Anees Bazmee’s Work Front

Meanwhile, Bazmee is currently engrossed in preparations for the highly anticipated third instalment of the beloved horror franchise Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Slated for a Diwali 2024 release, the film stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Tripti Dimri in pivotal roles.

Bazmee had previously directed the second part of the series, which featured Kartik Aaryan alongside Tabu and Kiara Advani. Vidya Balan portrayed the iconic role of Manjulika in the 2007 psychological horror-comedy, with the first instalment directed by Priyadarshan and starring Akshay Kumar alongside her.
