October 23 Release: Gurmeet Choudhary Backs Love Stories As Tum Mere Ho Readies Theatrical Debut

With Tum Mere Ho heading to theatres on October 23, Gurmeet Choudhary is betting on a classic Bollywood formula that rarely loses its pull, romance powered by music. The actor believes love stories still strike a deep chord with audiences, and his upcoming film leans fully into that space with an emotional narrative and a soundtrack designed to stay with viewers.

Speaking about the film, Gurmeet said, “Tum Mere Ho ko kaafi pyaar ke saath banaya gaya hai. Ismein romance, music aur ek khoobsurat love story dekhne ko milegi. Film mein kul aath gaane hain, jinhein behtareen music composers aur singers ne taiyaar kiya hai. Teen gaane pehle hi hit ho chuke hain aur logon ko pasand aa rahe hain.”

Why Gurmeet Choudhary Still Trusts Romance

For Gurmeet, the appeal of a love story is rooted in emotional familiarity. He said, “Pyaar ki kahaniyon ki apni alag jagah hoti hai. Ek achhi love story hamesha logon ke dilon se judti hai aur iska asar lambe samay tak bana rehta hai. Tum Mere Ho sirf romance par aadharit film nahi hai, balki ismein music bhi kahani ka aham hissa hai.”

He also pointed to the staying power of soundtrack-led romances, saying films such as Aashiqui, Aashiqui 2 and Saiyaara continue to show how strongly audiences connect with that mix. In his words, “Achhi dhunein aur pyaar se judi kahaniyan logon ke saath aasani se jud jaati hain. Yahi wajah hai ki romantic filmon ke gaane lambe samay tak logon ki zubaan par rehte hain aur film ki pehchaan ban jaate hain.”

Tum Mere Ho Puts Music At The Centre

Gurmeet made it clear that music is not just a decorative layer in Tum Mere Ho, but one of the film’s emotional engines. He said, “Bhartiya sanskriti mein music ki aham jagah hai. Hamari rozmarra ki zindagi mein bhi sangeet kisi na kisi roop mein shamil rehta hai. Ghar mein subah uthne se lekar daant khaane tak, har mauke par gaane yaad aa jaate hain. Aise mein agar kisi film mein acche gaane hon, toh darshakon ke cinemagharon tak pahunchne ki sambhaavna bhi badh jaati hai.”

Directed by Ashish Panda, Tum Mere Ho is a romantic musical starring Gurmeet alongside Isha Malviya. The film features eight songs, with three already drawing attention ahead of its theatrical release on October 23.

What The October Release Means For Gurmeet

For Gurmeet, Tum Mere Ho gives his screen journey a distinctly romantic turn at a time when audiences are once again embracing emotionally driven musical storytelling. After continuing to expand his work beyond the television space, this film places him in a genre that depends less on spectacle and more on feeling, chemistry and songs that linger after the credits roll.

The film is also a significant launchpad for Isha Malviya, who makes her Bollywood debut with Tum Mere Ho. Paired with Gurmeet in a music-led love story, she enters Hindi cinema through a genre that has long created breakout moments for fresh faces, making the October 23 release one to watch for both its nostalgia factor and its new pairing.
