Sidharth Malhotra And Parineeti Chopra Starrer Hasee Toh Phasee Returns To Theatres On March 6, 2026

If your idea of comfort viewing involves a little chaos, a lot of heart, and a love story that refuses to behave, there is good news coming to the big screen. Hasee Toh Phasee, the 2014 romantic comedy starring Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra, is heading back to cinemas on March 6, 2026, giving fans a chance to relive its offbeat charm in a theatre setting.

The re-release is being mounted by PVR INOX Limited in association with Dharma Productions, as the exhibitor continues to expand its slate of curated throwback titles for audiences looking for a communal, nostalgia-led movie outing.

The Latest Update

Confirming the news, the film’s producer Karan Johar underlined why the title still feels personal to him, saying, “Hasee Toh Phasee has a very special and warm place in my heart. It wasn’t a conventional love story; it was awkward, unpredictable, and beautifully flawed, much like love itself.” Calling it “a love story of misfits,” Johar added that he is excited to see audiences rediscover the film in theatres again.

From the exhibitor’s side, Niharika Bijli, Lead Strategist at PVR INOX Limited, pointed to the film’s enduring pop culture recall. “The film beautifully captured the quirks, vulnerabilities, and authenticity of modern relationships, making it a story that continues to resonate with audiences,” she said, adding that with the dialogues going viral in recent times and the music still being a party favourite, the team is eager to see the theatrical response once more.

Director Vinil Mathew also reflected on what makes the film land differently on the big screen. “When we made Hasee Toh Phasee, we wanted to tell a love story about two people who don’t quite fit in,” he said, adding that the re-release is special because the humour, silences, and emotion “all land differently” in a cinema hall.

About Hasee Toh Phasee

The film starred Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra in a refreshingly unconventional romantic setup. It follows an unlikely connection between a groom-to-be and an eccentric scientist over a whirlwind week leading up to a wedding.
