The excitement for Housefull 5 is building up as Sajid Nadiadwala brings together a star-studded cast for this much-anticipated sequel. Following the success of Housefull 4, Nadiadwala is reuniting with Akshay Kumar for the fifth instalment of the franchise, with Tarun Mansukhani stepping in as director.
Currently, the film is in pre-production and is set to kick off by the end of August. The team is gearing up for shoots in London, followed by an extensive schedule on a real-life cruise, promising a fresh setting for the franchise’s trademark comedy.
Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and Nana Patekar are confirmed to join Akshay Kumar in this ensemble cast. However, the casting is still in progress, and new additions are expected.
Fardeen Khan Joins Housefull 5 Cast
In a recent update, Fardeen Khan has been confirmed for a significant role in Housefull 5. This marks his reunion with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh who worked together in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heyy Babyy.
A source close to the production shared with Pinkvilla, “It’s a fun-filled role for Fardeen and the actor is also excited to work again with Akshay after their soon-to-be-released Khel Khel Mein. There were multiple contenders for the role in question, including Arjun Rampal, and it’s Fardeen Khan who is now ready to make an entry in the world of Housefull”
Sajid Nadiadwala Looking For Female Leads
While the six key male roles are now finalised, the search for female leads is ongoing. The makers are keen to bring in top mainstream actresses to complete the cast for this comic caper.
The plot promises a new twist in the series, with much of the action unfolding aboard a cruise. “It’s a comic thriller, where one episode brings the house down inside a cruise. The idea is to introduce a new flavour of comedy with Housefull 5,” the source added.
Housefull 5 is slated to start filming in August 2024, with production running until November. The film is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025. Before diving into this project, Akshay Kumar will complete a 20-day shoot for Welcome To The Jungle in Mumbai and Kashmir.
