Honouring Real Heroes: Rajasthan MLA Writes To Chief Minister Requesting Tax Free Status For Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur Releasing November 21

When a film tells the story of real heroes who sacrificed their lives for the nation, it deserves special recognition. 120 Bahadur, the upcoming war drama starring Farhan Akhtar, is now receiving calls to be declared tax free. Ravindra Singh Bhati, a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from the Sheo constituency, has written a formal letter to Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma requesting that the film be granted tax free status in the state. This request comes after the film’s trailer received an overwhelming response from audiences across the country.

The MLA shared his letter on social media, expressing that 120 Bahadur celebrates the courage, sacrifice, and bravery of Paramvir Chakra awardee Major Shaitan Singh Bhati and 120 brave sons of Mother India. The film recounts one of the most defining moments in Indian military history, and the MLA believes that such stories deserve to be accessible to every citizen without the burden of additional taxes. This appeal has struck a chord with many who feel that patriotic films based on true events should be supported by state governments.

The Story Of 120 Brave Soldiers

120 Bahadur takes audiences back to the 1962 war and the legendary Battle of Rezang La. The film tells the extraordinary story of 120 Indian soldiers from the 13 Kumaon Regiment who stood their ground against 3,000 Chinese troops. Farhan Akhtar plays the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who was awarded the Paramvir Chakra, India’s highest military decoration, for his exceptional leadership and courage. The film’s tagline, “Hum Peechhe Nahin Hatenge,” reflects the unwavering spirit of these soldiers who chose to fight till their last breath rather than retreat.

The trailer has already created a storm online, with viewers praising the gripping storytelling and powerful performances. The film showcases a fierce and inspiring chapter of Indian history that many people were unaware of. By bringing this story to the big screen, Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios have given audiences a chance to witness the bravery of these unsung heroes.

A Film That Deserves National Recognition

With growing support for the tax free status, 120 Bahadur is being recognized as more than just a commercial film. It is a tribute to the soldiers who protected the nation during one of its toughest times. If Rajasthan grants the tax free status, it could set a precedent for other states to follow. Patriotic films that educate and inspire the younger generation deserve to be celebrated, and making them tax free ensures that more people can watch and learn from these stories. Fans are hopeful that the request will be accepted before the film’s release.
