Arjun Rampal has officially joined the cast of the highly anticipated comedy film Housefull 5. The addition of Rampal marks his return to the Housefull franchise after 14 years. He will join the star-studded cast that already includes Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan.
Arjun Rampal Confirmed to Join Housefull 5 Cast
Sources confirmed Rampal’s involvement in Housefull 5 to Bollywood Hungama, stating that he is set to play a significant role in the film. “After playing the part of a brother in Housefull, Arjun Rampal returns to the franchise. It’s yet another serious yet funny character for Rampal, and he is excited to come on board the film,” an anonymous source revealed.
“When Sajid Nadiadwala approached him with the idea of Housefull 5, he jumped at the opportunity and agreed to join the film,” he added.
Akshay Kumar is Excited About Arjun Rampal’s Return With Housefull 5
The source further noted that Akshay Kumar is particularly excited about Rampal’s return. Housefull 5 is expected to bring together all the beloved characters from the previous instalments, creating a “Housefull universe” film. This unique approach will see characters from the earlier films participating in various capacities, promising a grand and entertaining reunion.
Set primarily on a cruise, Housefull 5 is scheduled to begin filming in August 2024, with a marathon shooting schedule planned in the UK. This new setting adds a fresh twist to the franchise, known for its comedic chaos and ensemble cast performances.
Rampal’s return is anticipated to add depth and a fresh dynamic to the already successful Housefull series.
Anil Kapoor’s Exit from Housefull 5
Anil Kapoor has left the project and the news has been the talk of the town these days. Sources close to the development disclosed to Peeping Moon that while the production timeline for Housefull 5 was set for August, Kapoor’s prior commitments to YRF’s female spy thriller alongside Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Bobby Deol posed a clash. Kapoor opted to step aside from Housefull 5, expressing hopes for future collaborations with Sajid Nadiadwala.
They said, “After determining the availability of all the main actors, the makers decided to begin filming Housefull 5 in August. While this schedule worked for everyone else, it did not align with Anil’s diary. He will be shooting for YRF’s female spy thriller with Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, and Bobby Deol during that period. Anil graciously left the film, hoping to work with Sajid Nadiadwala on another project soon.”
However, there is also a buzz that Anil left the project due to dissatisfaction with his fees.
