The madness started on April 30, 2010 — and it hasn’t stopped! Today marks 15 years of Sajid Nadiadwala‘s Housefull franchise, India’s only comedy series to reach five chapters. And to celebrate, the producers have dropped the much-awaited teaser for Housefull 5 — a self-described “killer comedy” that promises a bigger scale, bigger laughs, and a cruise full of madness.

An Unprecedented Milestone for Bollywood Comedy
Sajid Nadiadwala, mastermind behind many of India’s most popular commercial cinema, has crafted something unique in Housefull — a comedy franchise that has reinvigorated itself with each chapter and, in many ways, lived on forever by embracing its signature madness.
The teaser for Housefull 5, released today, signifies the starting point from which comes the biggest and most ambitious instalment yet of the franchise, and that being said, has a cast list that is practically a who’s who of Bollywood.
It is time to realise the scale of Housefull 5
Housefull 5 is gathering what is likely one of the most star-studded casts seen recently in Bollywood.
Here is the cast from Housefull 5:
Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, Soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.
Each of them contributes a role in what the creators are calling a “killer comedy” — a comedy-mystery hybrid that takes place on a luxury cruise.
Cruise. Chaos. Comedy.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 stays true to the legacy of the previous films but also increases the drama with a murder mystery on board a stunning luxury cruise ship.
The teaser teases scenes of confused characters, mistaken identity, eye-popping spectacle, and boisterous songs — the ingredients that have made the Housefull films successful since the very first one!
The film promises chartbuster music, overlapping character arcs, and, of course, the slapstick-meets-spectacle style that has become synonymous with the Housefull brand.
Coming This Bakrid
Housefull 5 is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and will be released globally on June 6, 2025, on the occasion of Bakrid, which is a long weekend holiday.
So get onto the high seas this summer with the craziest ensemble in town.
The madness is back — and bigger than before.
