Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar have joined forces for a romantic comedy titled Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri. The film is set to hit theatres in 2026.

A Zoom report claims that Kartik is charging a staggering Rs 50 crore for his role, which is one-third of the film’s total production budget of Rs 150 crore.
If it is true, this hefty fee indicates Kartik’s soaring market value, thanks to his recent hits like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Chandu Champion.
The film is directed by Sameer Vidwans, who previously worked with Kartik on Satyaprem Ki Katha. The official announcement of the project was made on 25 December 2024, with a playful video featuring Kartik’s character, Ray. In the clip, Ray humorously talks about learning from his past relationships and vows to make his next one last.

Kartik expressed his excitement on social media and wrote, “Tumhara RAY aa raha hai RUMI. Mummy ki khaayi hui kasam, yeh Mumma’s boy poori karke he rehta hai! Super excited to return to my fav genre Rom-com #TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri… The biggest love story coming to cinemas in 2026.”
This film marks a fresh chapter in Kartik and Karan’s collaboration after their earlier project, Dostana 2, was shelved. It is presented by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures, with producers Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, and Kishor Arora.
Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar were initially set to collaborate on Dostana 2, but the project did not materialise. In 2023, they announced plans to work together on an untitled patriotic war film directed by Sandeep Modi. However, there have been no updates on the film, which was originally scheduled for a 2025 release.
