IMDb’s list of the most popular Indian movies of 2024 includes Stree 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Kill, among other top contenders.

As 2024 ends, IMDb has revealed its list of the most popular Indian movies of the year. While Kalki 2898 AD couldn’t top Google’s Year in Search 2024, it claimed the top spot on IMDb’s list. This South Indian blockbuster, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone, has wowed audiences with its stunning visuals and gripping story. Following closely behind are other successful films like Stree 2, Kill, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

The rankings are based on page views from IMDb’s 250 million monthly visitors, highlighting the growing popularity of Indian films across various genres and languages.

The list showcases India’s diverse entertainment landscape, with seven Hindi films, along with Telugu (Kalki 2898 AD), Tamil (Maharaja), and Malayalam (Manjummel Boys) entries. Franchise films continued to capture attention, with Stree 2, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Singham Again all securing spots in the top 10.

Top 10 Most Popular Indian Movies of 2024

Kalki 2898 AD: This sci-fi epic, starring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone, is praised for its ambitious storyline and breathtaking special effects. Though it didn’t top Google’s 2024 search list, it outperformed many others on IMDb.

Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank: Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao return in this horror-comedy sequel, facing a new supernatural menace. The mix of humour, horror, and strong performances made it a fan favourite.

Maharaja: Vijay Sethupathi stars in this Tamil film, which has won audiences over with its engaging plot and powerful acting. Its success highlights the increasing appeal of regional cinema.

Shaitaan: This intense thriller, starring Ajay Devgn, dives into the world of crime and justice, with a compelling narrative and powerful performance by Devgn.

Fighter: Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone lead this high-energy action film, known for its thrilling sequences and the chemistry between the leads.

Manjummel Boys: This Malayalam film touches hearts with its sincere story about friendship and life’s ups and downs, reflecting the richness of Malayalam cinema.
