Hrithik Roshan And Prime Video Deepen HRX Films Deal With Mess, Following Thriller Series Storm

Prime Video’s growing push into creator-led originals has found a high-profile partner in Hrithik Roshan’s HRX Films, and the collaboration has now expanded again. Days after the streamer and HRX Films unveiled the thriller series Storm, the two have announced a feature film titled Mess, a comedy that leans into chaos, tension, and an offbeat hook.

Latest Update On Mess

Prime Video has confirmed Mess as its new Prime Original movie, marking the second project it has mounted with HRX Films, a division of FilmKraft Productions. The film is directed by Rajesh A. Krishnan, with an original screenplay by American writer Paul Soter and an adapted screenplay and dialogues by Kapil Sawant.

The premise is built like a home-invasion thriller that refuses to stay in one lane. Mess follows a group of robbers who break into a house, only to realise they are trapped in a night-long standoff after targeting a man with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Hrithik Roshan framed the film as a natural continuation of the partnership’s creative intent, saying, “Storm marked the start of something special with Prime Video, and Mess feels like a natural next step for us at HRX Films, our partnership with Prime Video has allowed us to explore bold, innovative storytelling, and this project embodies that spirit perfectly.”

Prime Video India’s Director and Head of Originals Nikhil Madhok highlighted the script’s surprise factor and comedic engine, adding, “A key marker of a good story is if it takes you by surprise and keeps you entertained throughout. With Mess, we have a story that does not only that but makes you laugh at every step.” He also credited HRX Films’ creative alignment with the platform, saying, “Hrithik and Eshaan, through HRX Films, bring a strong creative instinct and a genuine passion for storytelling, and after Storm, we are delighted to deepen our partnership further with this film.”

Krishnan, known for blending humour with high-concept setups, described the film’s tone as an “amalgamation of comedy and chaos,” and noted that the team had a “dream cast to work with,” while keeping casting details under wraps for now. The makers have confirmed the project has entered production, with more announcements expected soon.
