Hrithik Roshan x Hombale Films: Director Speculation, Clarified!
When Hrithik Roshan confirmed his project with Hombale Films, the powerhouse behind pan-India blockbusters like KGF and Salaar, fans and trade analysts eagerly wondered who would direct the film. The name that quickly rose to the surface? Malayalam superstar and noted director Prithviraj Sukumaran.
The Viral Buzz: Why Prithviraj Made Sense
The speculation wasn’t without merit. Prithviraj has a strong professional connection with Hombale Films, having key roles in Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire and the director’s back-to-back success. His directorial debut, Lucifer, was a tremendous success in 2019. Following the sequel, L2: Empuraan, set for a 2025 release, broke all existing Malayalam box office records.
It’s easy to see why fans envisioned a dream project with Hrithik Roshan’s star power, Prithviraj’s directorial talent, and Hombale supporting them.
Hombale Clears the Air: ‘No Director Finalised Yet’
But not so fast! According to a source close to the production, this speculation is “completely baseless”.
“No director has been signed yet. Please do not believe in rumors — we will announce all updates of this project officially when it is time,” said the source.
While excitement is mounting, fans will now have to wait a bit longer for official confirmation on who will be directing the film.
Hrithik Roshan x Hombale Films: What We Know So Far
What we do know is that this is going to be a large-scale and ambitious project. Speaking on the partnership, Vijay Kiragandur, founder of Hombale Films, said:
“Partnering with Hrithik Roshan is an honest step towards accomplishing our goal of making a film where intensity meets imagination in a large-scale sense.”
Hrithik added:
“Hombale has previously been home to unique stories through the years. We are dreaming big and are ready to execute that vision.”
