Hrithik Roshan, who is the face of India’s most recognisable action-spy Kabir, is emotional about the resounding success of the teaser for War 2, with fans across the country taking to social media praising the teaser. Hrithik shared his personal sentiments about being a part of what is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of 2025.
Hrithik Reflects On The Shooting Response & Heavy Expectations Of The Film
Reflecting on the strenuous shooting and expectations of war, Hrithik shared:
“War is a franchise that is very close to my heart. To see the tremendous amount of love for the teaser, for Jr NTR, Kiara, Ayan, and the entire team – it is truly wonderful. Making films of this scale is not an easy feat, but we have given our everything to make War 2 an experience that is hard to forget.”
The actor, who is credited with re-establishing action in Bollywood in films like Bang Bang, WAR, and Fighter, is back as Kabir — a character that is now a cult character in Indian cinema. Hrithik stated that reliving Kabir was not only a professional challenge; it was an emotional joyride.
YRF Spy Universe Gets Bigger With Jr NTR And Kiara Advani
The sequel comes from Brahmāstra director Ayan Mukerji, who enters the YRF Spy Universe for the first time. The film will also showcase South mega star Jr NTR in a never-seen-before avatar and Kiara Advani as the leading lady.
War 2 is produced by Aditya Chopra and will continue the story in the expanding YRF Spy Universe, following the events of Pathaan and Tiger 3, to carry on YRF’s stylish grand espionage story and cinema — set to release in theatres on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, opening the grand and much anticipated Independence Day weekend.
