Huma Qureshi has shared the kind of update that will instantly raise curiosity around Toxic. The actress revealed she has already watched an 8 to 9 minute cut of the Yash-led film, and if her first reaction is anything to go by, the team is aiming for a visually striking big-screen spectacle.
Her comments come as excitement around Toxic continues to build ahead of its August 2026 theatrical release. More notably, Huma said the film is being shaped with patience and precision, with the makers focused on getting the experience right rather than rushing it out.
Huma Qureshi’S First Reaction To Toxic
Speaking about working with Yash, Huma said, “I will only say this much, that after working with Yash in this film, I have genuinely become an even bigger fan of him. Earlier I used to think, yes okay, he is a massive star, he has a huge following. But when you see someone working and the way they work, the passion with which they work, I have learned a lot from him.”
She also spoke about the shared creative mindset on the film, saying, “And I feel that his thinking, Geethu’s thinking, all of our thinking is the same. The film should be well made, whenever it releases. And I think the entire team is involved and work is going on day and night to make sure that when audiences come to the theatre, they get the best experience ever,” she said.
The strongest tease, however, came when Huma spoke about the footage she has already seen. “And okay, I will say it. I have seen an 8 to 9 minute cut of Toxic. Very small. As an actor, as someone who is a part of this film, I can tell you I have never seen such visuals before,” she said.
She added, “We recently had a dinner and all the actors were there. There was so much love at that table. Because I feel it is one such film where everyone has their own moment to shine. So there is no sense of competition at all. Everyone knows this is my space, this is my character, and in this scene I have really done well. And everyone has that moment. And Yash has really outdone himself. So I think this will be the biggest treat for Yash fans. We can only promise you that whenever it comes out and it will come out soon it will blow you away,” said Huma.

A nine minute preview of the film was also showcased at CinemaCon 2026, adding to the chatter around the project’s scale and visual ambition. Huma’s remarks now add a first-person reaction from within the cast, making the conversation around the film feel even more immediate.
Toxic Sits At The Centre Of Huma Qureshi’S Current Screen Slate
For Huma Qureshi, Toxic stands out as a major upcoming theatrical title in her current lineup. It places her inside a large ensemble mounted as a full-scale cinema event, while also pairing her with Yash in one of the most closely watched star vehicles on the 2026 release calendar.
Her comments also underline that this is not a blink-and-miss appearance. Huma has described a film where every actor gets a defined moment, which positions Toxic as an important big-screen outing in her present phase, especially with Geethu Mohandas directing and a cast designed to bring both star power and character-driven presence to the screen.
