Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, who debuted in Bollywood in 2018, have always been supportive of each other. However, the two actresses have different opinions on the topic of “respect” in the industry. Janhvi recently expressed in an interview that although she has had many opportunities, she has not yet earned respect.
If recent times, Janhvi previously spoke to Barkha Dutt on ‘We The Women’ about how she’s been addressed with fame. And she has asli gotten good opportunities after Dhadak but is yet to earn respect. “Mujhe mauke bohot mile hai, par izzat abhi tak nahi mila,” Jhanvi quoted.
On the other hand, when asked about Janhvi’s comment, Sara told Siddharth Kannan that she believes that being accepted for who she is, is the greatest sign of respect.
Sara Ali Khan also mentioned that she has not faced any respect-related problems in her career.
It is essential to recognize that both actresses have unique journeys and need to be allowed to achieve their work satisfaction at their own pace. Sara will be starring in Gaslight alongside Vikrant Massey and Chitrangda Singh. Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor has Bawaal and Mr & Mrs Mahi in the pipeline.
