With the theatrical release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village in Japan, fans have been raving about the action-packed, emotional journey that the movie takes them on.
Film was released in India last week on 17th March with couple of Bollywood releases. And to be fair with less than 300 screens, it has collected good 3.10 cr gross over weekend which is twice more than Kapil Sharma starrer ‘Zwigato’. Film will be in cinemas for a week or so and should cross 7 cr gross easily.
This highlights rapid growing phenomenon of Anime and it will be a force to reckon with in years to come. Anime film Jujutsu Kaisen last year in July took lot of outdated people by surprise. The film scored 1.70 cr nett on day one and 4.30 crore weekend followed by 9 cr lifetime.
