Salman Khan Requests Changes In RS Prasanna’s Script, Considers Turning Down Aamir Khan’s Offer

Despite taking a break from acting, Aamir Khan has remained involved in the film industry through his production company, Aamir Khan Productions

The leading actor for R.S. Prasanna’s remake of the Spanish film “Campeones” is yet to be found. Aamir Khan, who was initially set to star in the movie, withdrew from the project last year after the failure of “Laal Singh Chaddha.” Although he is presently on a break from acting, Aamir is still associated with the film as a producer, having been involved since its scripting stage. He is aware of the film’s potential and has been working to make it happen. Recently, he offered the film to his friend Salman Khan as well, but there has been no progress on the talks.

“Aamir had offered RS Prasanna’s film to Salman sometime back as he believes Salman fits the bill and can pull off this character very well on screen. Salman had also shown his interest back then, and things were moving forward positively. However, Salman recently watched the original Spanish film and suggested some changes in the Hindi adaptation. Aamir and the director are not happy with the changes he has asked for, while Salman also doesn’t seem particularly optimistic about the film,” Peeping Moon quoted its source as saying. It added Salman hasn’t officially refuted the offer yet, but it’s apparent that he doesn’t want to do this film.

According to reports, RS Prasanna’s movie has made no progress since Aamir Khan withdrew from his acting duties. There is a chance that the film may eventually be abandoned. This would mark the third time in recent years that an Aamir Khan film was cancelled due to his last-minute departure. Siddharth Roy Kapur’s “Saare Jahan Se Accha” and the T-Series Gulshan Kumar biopic “Mogul” are the other two projects that have been put on hold indefinitely after Aamir Khan stepped down from the projects for various reasons.

Despite taking a break from acting, Aamir Khan has remained involved in the film industry through his production company, Aamir Khan Productions. The company has three upcoming projects in the pipeline, including the second directorial effort from Aamir’s ex-wife Kiran Rao, “Laapataa Ladies,” featuring Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Chhaya Kadam, and Ravi Kishan. Additionally, there is Sunil Pandey’s small-town drama “Pritam Pyare,” starring Sanjay Mishra and Neeraj Sood, and the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film “Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey,” which stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and will begin production soon.

On the other hand, Salman Khan has not yet decided on his next project for 2024. While he has considered several scripts, including “Kick 2,” “Dabangg 4,” a Pan-India film, and a remake, he has not yet settled on a final choice. It is expected that he will announce his next project after the release of his upcoming Eid movie, “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.”
