A New Chapter: Imran Teams Up with Danish Aslam Again
This new project is directed by Danish Aslam, the same director who in 2010 directed Imran with Deepika Padukone in the cult romantic dramedy Break Ke Baad. The film Adhure Hum Adhure Tum is going to be billed as a dysfunctional romantic drama that combines humour, chaos, and emotion in a genre that once made Imran Khan a household name.
Industry sources describe the film’s tone as quirky and grounded, with a layered emotional complexity that ultimately brings back a version of Imran Khan’s character that viewers haven’t seen in quite some time: reflective, vulnerable, and playfully flawed.
Bhumi Pednekar & Gurfateh Pirzada Also Join the Cast
Bhumi Pednekar, who is compelling but still natural in performance, and the popular young actor Gurfateh Pirzada (of Guilty), round out this cast, and we expect the intersection of generational disparity, friction, and chemistry with these three will be exciting.
Filming for the project began last week in Mumbai on a private shooting schedule and will continue to shoot until July 2025, with the release expected on OTT platforms in early 2026, although the exact platform has not been officially disclosed.
