After the outrageous box office success of his three previous films, Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi, he is now justifying his future films with character-specific spin-offs, with Deepika Padukone’s Shakti Shetty and Tiger Shroff’s ACP Satya taking charge.
What Else Does Rohit Shetty Have in Store for the Cop Universe
We knew this, but in a recent interview, Shetty formally confirmed what fans have been speculating for a while: Simmba 2 is happening, and Sooryavanshi 2 is happening too. But more importantly, Deepika and Tiger are not just going to be supporting sidekicks—they are getting their own films.
“Shakti will have her own movie. Satya will have his own movie.” This was Shetty while speaking about two of the well-anticipated characters introduced in the upcoming Singham Again.
It is becoming quite clear that Shetty is building India’s first full-fledged cinematic universe revolving around heroes in law enforcement, snitching off the Marvel model but making it desi action, drama, and punchlines.
Deepika & Tiger: Not Just Cameos But Future Leads
Although both characters are making their introduction in Singham Again, Shetty made it clear that this is not just a fancy guest appearance.
