Why Imran Khan Is Avoiding PR And Managers
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Imran explained his decision to distance himself from PR teams and managers. “I have experienced a period where I had a PR and manager. Having seen the impact it has on your life, I now prefer to forgo those aspects,” he said.
The actor elaborated on why he doesn’t want professional representation this time. “I don’t want a manager who will actively seek out roles for me. Their commission is tied to keeping me consistently employed, which might lead them to encourage me to take on projects I’m not interested in. I want to discover my own opportunities,” he added.
The PR Game No Longer Appeals To Imran
Imran also shared his thoughts on how heavily the industry relies on public relations, which no longer resonates with him. “Participating in the PR game is a full-time commitment; it requires hours each day collaborating with the PR team, strategizing, and analyzing outcomes,” he revealed.
He pointed out that audiences have become increasingly aware of PR tactics. “Given how prevalent it is, the public has become aware of it. Now, audiences scrutinize everything: wondering if it’s a PR maneuver or what the underlying motive is. I would prefer to work at my own speed,” Imran explained.
Letting His Work Speak For Itself
With his return and his choice to eschew PR-centric optics, Imran appears determined to let his work resonate more than the surrounding chatter. The actor is fondly remembered for his charming and youth-oriented films that made him a beloved figure in the 2000s and early 2010s.
