Farah Khan Praises Yami Gautam’s Outstanding Performance In Haq, Says ‘Get Ready To Receive Every Award’ As Film Finds Its Audience On Netflix

Farah Khan has showered praise on Yami Gautam for her powerful performance in the courtroom drama Haq. The filmmaker took to Instagram Stories to laud the actress, predicting award season glory for her portrayal.

Yami Gautam received critical acclaim for her performance when Haq was released in theatres in 2025. Now that the film has premiered on Netflix, the actor is enjoying another wave of appreciation from industry peers and audiences alike.

Farah Khan’s High Praise For Yami

On Wednesday, Farah Khan shared a poster of Haq on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Yami Gautam, get ready to receive every award! Outstanding performance.” She also lauded co-star Emraan Hashmi, adding, “You are the best to date.”

The endorsement from one of Bollywood’s most celebrated filmmakers has added to the growing buzz around the film’s OTT success.

Other Celebrities Join The Praise

Farah Khan is not the only industry personality to appreciate Yami’s work in Haq. Actor Kiara Advani also praised her performance, writing, “Just watched Haq on Netflix. Yami Gautam, what a beautiful performance.” Actor Sanjay Kapoor too shared his appreciation on Instagram, calling it an “excellent film.”

The film appears to have finally found its audience since releasing on Netflix on January 2, despite its modest theatrical run.

Yami Gautam Expresses Gratitude

Yami Gautam expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming love following the film’s OTT release. Taking to X, she wrote, “Extremely grateful for such a heartfelt response to HAQ in abundance. The love is truly gratifying for me, both as an artist and as a woman. Jai Hind.”

Despite receiving positive reviews, the film managed to collect only Rs 29 crore worldwide at the box office during its theatrical run.
