Late actor Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan is all set to headline the Hindi remake of the Telugu romantic drama Baby. The film, which became a major hit in 2022, is known for its emotional storytelling and exploration of first love. Following his impressive debut in Qala, this remake will mark Babil’s next big-screen project.
A Peeping Moon report that revealed the news stated that the Hindi version of Baby will retain the heart of the original, capturing the bittersweet journey of two high school sweethearts as they face life’s challenges.
Babil To Play Anand Deverakonda’s Role In The Hindi Remake
The story delves into the struggles of first love, friendship, and the trials of personal growth and temptation. Babil will step into the role originally played by Anand Deverakonda.
However, the female lead is yet to be finalised. Rumours suggest South Indian actress Krithi Shetty is being considered for the part, which was essayed by Vaishnavi Chaitanya in the Telugu version.
Madhu Mantena Is Producing The Film With Allu Aravind
Madhu Mantena is producing the film in collaboration with Geetha Arts, led by Allu Aravind, and the original producer, Sreenivasa Kumar Naidu. To maintain the essence of the story, the team has retained the original director, Sai Rajesh.
Filming is expected to begin in early 2025 as pre-production is already underway.
