The release of Ishaan Khatter’s latest movie Phone Bhoot, starring Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi, is scheduled for this month. Ishaan and Siddhant will play two “bhootbusters” and Katrina will play a “bhootni” respectively in this horror-comedy movie. The story centres around some amusing circumstances that the trio encounters while providing ghost-busting services.
The actor expressed his impressions after reading the movie’s script for the first time, saying,“When I heard the script, I was quite taken by the fact that it’s an absolutely absurd comedy, so it is very sure in what it is trying to do. There was great clarity of the writers and this genre of good Hindi film comedy, will always works. We all have that little Bollywood inside each of us and this film will turn it on because of it’s quirkiness and its unique new-age language.”
“This film is a very punchy relentless comedy. And I found myself laughing for atleast two hours during the film narration. The writers Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath wrote themselves into the film. So essentially, they are Gullu and Major and they have very interesting characters. It is like an Andaaz Apna Apna but in the horror world” Ishaan Khatter Said.
The 4th of November will see the cinematic debut of Phone Bhoot, produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. But this movie will have competition from Janhvi Kapoor’s thriller Mili and the Huma Qureshi-Sonakshi Sinha-starring movie Double XL.
