The teaser of Raja Krishna Menon’s Pippa is out on Independence Day. The Star cast of the film includes Ishaan Khatter, Priyanshu Painyuli, Mrunal Thakur and Soni Razdan and is going to be released in cinemas on December 2, 2022.
The filmmakers chose the special occasion of 75thIndependence Day to release the teaser of the film to create a hype of the film for patriotism. The film is based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war.
The teaser of the film gives us a sight of several incidents or events that took place during the war. For the unversed, Pippa is a story about three siblings against the backdrop of the action-packed 48-hour Battle of Garibpur, which was fought on the eastern front of India during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.
The lead actor of the film, Ishaan Khatter posted the official teaser of Pippa on his Instagram account and wrote the caption, “PIPPA in cinemas December 2nd, 2022. On the momentous occasion of our country’s 75th Independence Day – presenting a glimpse from a film we’ve collectively put our heart, gut and soul into. May our soil, our people and our culture be blessed always. It’s been an honour to represent the valour and bravery of our defence forces More to come. (sic).”
The Producer of the film, Ronnie Screwvala also spoke a few words about his film Pippa, ‘We are just beginning to tell the stories of our war hero’s and of India’s many strategic moves- in war and peace – over the last 75 years of our Independence – that have made us now a world power. PIPPA set in 1971 against the backdrop of one of the largest refugee migrations in modern history that then led to the liberation and formation of a Country is a story that must be told and we can’t wait to unravel the scale of this epic movie to audiences world-wide on 2nd December 2022’, he said.
