The much-awaited biographical war film, Ikkis, has officially wrapped up its shooting schedule. The announcement came from producer Dinesh Vijan‘s Maddock Films, marking a significant milestone for the project. In a touching tribute, the team chose to share the news on the birth anniversary of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the brave soldier whose life story the film chronicles.
A Heartfelt Tribute On A Special Day
The timing of the announcement was a deliberate and respectful gesture. Arun Khetarpal, the youngest officer to be awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest military decoration, is a celebrated national hero. The production house shared a poignant message with the wrap announcement: “Woh Ikkis ka tha, Ikkis ka hi rahega” (He was 21, he will remain 21). This powerful line not only explains the film’s title but also captures the eternal youth and sacrifice of the young hero. The film is being made with a sense of “pride and honour” to bring his untold story to the big screen.
