
Recently Vicky Kaushal has won a national award for the best actor role for the film URI. Vicky Kaushal was seen shooting for Shoojit Sircar’s next film ‘Sardar Udham Singh’. Well, the team has wrapped the final shoots in Europe.
A day ago Vicky, shared a picture from his social media handle and captioned “Today marks the 120th birth anniversary of Sardar Udham Singh. Portraying a character is one thing. But understanding the way they viewed the world, reliving their emotions is another. I don’t know how much closer I will get to what went inside your head and heart. But I do know that with every scene that I play you, something inside me alters forever. Sardar Udham Singh (26thDec1899-31stJuly1940).”
‘Sardar Udham Singh’ is a film based on the life of Udham Singh, the great Martyr and Indian freedom fighter who bravely assassinated Michael O’ Dwyer (the former lieutenant governor of Punjab) in 1940, London. The assassination was in revenge for the brutal and tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919.
The film is directed by Shoojit Sircar, and produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar. Presented by Rising Sun Film & Kino Works. The film is set to release on 2nd October 2020.
