Both the films are slated to release on Independence Day 2025. The clash also marks the first time that YRF and Dharma Productions, two of the most influential and successful banners in Bollywood, will compete with each other. Both the production houses have a long history of collaboration and friendship, as YRF’s founder Yash Chopra was the uncle of Dharma Productions’ head Karan Johar. Yash Chopra’s son Aditya Chopra, who is the current chairman and managing director of YRF, is also considered as one of the mentors of Karan Johar, who started his career as an assistant director on YRF’s Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Karan Johar has always praised Aditya Chopra and his family in many interviews. And as expected, they have always avoided releasing their films on the same day, probably to not affect each other’s business.
