The third instalment of the cult 2000s comedy Hera Pheri has been making headlines ever since it was announced. After months of speculation, legal battles, and statements from the cast, Akshay Kumar has finally cleared the air, bringing some much-needed good news for fans.
In an exclusive chat on The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra Season 2, produced by Gautam Thakker Films, Akshay Kumar said, “Nahi, yeh publicity stunt nahi hai. The things went legal, so when legal things are involved, we cannot call it a publicity stunt; it is a real thing.” He further added, “But ab sab kuch thik ho gaya hai. Very soon, some kind of announcement can come. Yes, there were some ups and downs. But now everything is solved, and we are back together, and we have always been together. Yes, that’s it!”
His statement comes as a major relief to fans who were disheartened by earlier reports of creative and contractual conflicts, including rumours that Paresh Rawal had walked out and that Akshay himself had stepped away from the film.
With Akshay Kumar confirming that the core team is back and all issues are resolved, fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The return of Hera Pheri promises not just a dose of nostalgia, but a fresh chapter in the beloved franchise.
All Resolved? Paresh Rawal Confirms No Controversy
In a recent interview, Rawal struck a reassuring tone: “There’s no controversy. What happens is, when something becomes so loved by people, we need to be extra careful. It’s our responsibility towards the audience to work hard and give them back. So my point here is let everyone come together, work hard, and that’s it. But nothing else has happened. It’s all resolved now.”
He also assured that the film is on track: “100 percent the film is coming. It was about to come earlier also but sometimes we’ve to fine tune each other because all of them are creative people – like Priyadarshan, Akshay, Suniel Shetty, they’ve been friends for many, many years.”
The reconciliation marks a promising turn: the returning Baburao of Rawal, paired with Kumar and Shetty under Priyadarshan’s helm, seems destined to deliver a worthy addition to the cult classic series.
