In a shocking and straight-shooting interview, veteran actor Paresh Rawal has some news for fans of Bollywood; not only did the legendary actor confirm that Hera Pheri 3, one of India’s most beloved comedy franchises, will definitely start shooting in January or February 2026, but he also has extremely high hopes for the film Bhooth Bangla, an upcoming horror film that he specified would be a game changer for Indian horror films.
“Whenever I get a positive reaction with Hera Pheri. It is the most regarded franchise,” stated Rawal without divulging any more details of the film.

Speaking about his film with the director Priyadarshan, Paresh Rawal had nothing but great things to say.
“No horror film in India has ever been shot this good. It is mind-blowing. Priyadarshan is a fabulous filmmaker,” he enthused.
With Rawal taking a prominent role and Akshay Kumar reuniting with him, Bhooth Bangla is already being offered as a visual experience that redefines the genre, departing from conventional jump scare horror to a more refined and cinematic feel.
Welcome to the Jungle, Thama and More: A Full Plate For Paresh Rawal
While Hera Pheri 3 and Bhooth Bangla are bigger projects on Rawal’s upcoming slate, Rawal has a larger part in Welcome To The Jungle, which is set to resume filming in July or August 2025, and he confirmed that it’s still being filmed and he is reuniting with Akshay yet again.
In addition, Rawal has a major part in Thama, a horror-comedy film under the Maddock Films umbrella of Stree-Munjya-Bhediya, with Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, which is locked in for a Diwali 2025 release.
Having recently added Sarfira (2024) to their collective contributions, Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar have now been in 21 films together, including classics Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Phir Hera Pheri, Welcome, OMG (Oh My God), and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The two work together to create cinematic magic when they are on-screen.
BoxOfficeWorldwide Verdict:
With Hera Pheri 3 confirmed for early 2026, Welcome To The Jungle moving forward with mid-year filming, and Bhooth Bangla set to raise the level of horror filmmaking, Paresh Rawal has both legacy and originality in his combination of work. Whether it is laughs or chills, Rawal has once again set the bar that he can fill both, and his versatility — and influence — will remain leading in 2025 and beyond.
