Ramayana first look: Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash’s epic mythological spectacle fuels massive Day 1 ticket sales buzz

Ramayana: Part One has started its box office journey with the kind of early momentum reserved for major event films. As of 11 pm on Friday, October 30, the Ranbir Kapoor and Yash-led epic had sold around 1.50 lakh opening-day tickets across the top national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, putting it firmly among the strongest pre-sales performers of 2026 with a full week still left before release.

That early number is significant because the heaviest movement for tentpole titles usually arrives in the final stretch, especially from the Monday before release through the final day of advance sales. With that window still ahead, Ramayana: Part One has already given itself a strong base to build on.

Ramayana Joins The Top Advance Booking Performers Of 2026

At 1.50 lakh tickets in the top national chains for day one, Ramayana: Part One has already moved ahead of Border 2, Mirzapur The Movie, Awarapan 2, Bhooth Bangla, Cocktail 2, and Welcome To The Jungle in the 2026 advance booking list.

The current leaderboard is still topped by Dhurandhar The Revenge with 9.25 lakh tickets in national chains, followed by Drishyam The Conclusion at 4.05 lakh and Toxic at 2.45 lakh. Even at this stage, Ramayana: Part One has entered the top tier of the year’s biggest pre-sale performers and remains well placed to climb further as release week intensifies.

Top Advance Booking In National Chains In 2026

1. Dhurandhar The Revenge 9,25,000 tickets

2. Drishyam The Conclusion 4,05,000 tickets

3. Toxic: 2,45,000 tickets

4. Ramayana: 1,50,000 tickets (5 days to go)

5. Border 2: 1,45,000 tickets

6. Mirzapur The Movie: 1,25,000 tickets

7. Awarapan 2: 1,18,000 tickets

8. Bhooth Bangla: 72,000 tickets

9. Cocktail 2: 70,000 tickets

10. Welcome To The Jungle: 52,000 tickets

Why The Final Stretch Will Be Crucial

The 1.50 lakh figure reflects tickets sold for opening day in the top national chains, combining PVR Inox and Cinepolis. That is separate from a wider PVR INOX circuit update shared by executive director Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, who told Cinema Express, “The response to Ramayana has been very encouraging, with advance bookings crossing 2.5 lakh tickets across the PVR INOX circuit for entire weekend.”

The distinction matters. The 1.50 lakh tally refers specifically to the day one count across two major national chains at the Friday 11 pm mark.

With non-national chains, single screens, and several southern markets still expected to gather pace closer to release, the film has clear headroom left in its advance cycle.

Cast, Crew And Release Details

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part One stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravi Dubey, and Sunny Deol. The film is backed by Prime Focus Studios and Monster Mind Creations, and is mounted as a large-scale mythological epic based on the Ramayana. The first installment is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on November 5, 2026.

If the film sustains its current momentum through the final weekend and gets the customary last-mile surge from mass circuits, Ramayana: Part One looks set to close its advance booking on a far bigger number and finish among the top opening-day pre-sale performers for a Hindi non-sequel.
