Hrithik Roshan is making his directorial debut with Krrish 4. The much-awaited superhero film will be produced by Yash Raj Films and Rakesh Roshan. Filming is set to begin in early 2026.
Hrithik Roshan To Direct Krrish 4
Confirming the news, Rakesh Roshan shared with Pinkvilla, “I’m passing the baton of the director of Krrish 4 to my son, Hrithik Roshan, who has lived, breathed and dreamt about this franchise since its inception with me!”
He praised Hrithik’s vision and called it ambitious. He added, “Krrish has entertained audiences worldwide, and now Hrithik will take this journey to greater heights.”
Rakesh Roshan Announces The Film On Instagram
Rakesh Roshan also made the announcement on Instagram. In a heartfelt post, he wrote, “Duggu, 25 years back I launched you as an actor, and today, again after 25 years, you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers, Aditya Chopra and myself, to take forward our most ambitious film.”

On Teaming Up With YRF For Krrish 4
The film’s partnership with Aditya Chopra has only added to the buzz. Rakesh Roshan spoke about their collaboration and said, “It brings me so much joy to see someone like Adi as the producer of Krrish 4. It was he who convinced Hrithik to sit in the director’s chair. YRF has the knowledge, understanding and technological prowess to produce this film and add great value to the project.”
With Hrithik at the helm, this superhero film is expected to be one of India’s biggest films. The film is in its pre-production phase, with nearly a year of planning. Reports suggest that it will mark the return of Jadoo, the beloved alien from Koi Mil Gaya, after 22 years. The film aims to take Indian superhero cinema to the next level with a grand vision and cutting-edge technology.
