Collaborations between Bollywood stars and South Indian filmmakers for regional films, and vice versa, have become popular. Janhvi Kapoor, a young actress, has jumped on board. Makers are reportedly interested in signing the Dhadak actress for their upcoming film. Producer Dil Raju and director Sriram Venu are now in talks with the actress’s team to secure her role in the film. If granted the go light, she will star opposite Allu Arjun in the film.
While Sriram Venu’s next film, Icon, was announced a long time ago, it is expected to hit theatres very soon. Currently, the Ala Vaikunthapuramaloo actor is filming Pushpa alongside Rashmika Mandanna for his next film. The film was supposed to come out in August 2021, but it has been pushed back to Christmas 2021. It will be released in five languages.
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor just completed the filming of Good Luck Jerry, one of her next films. Dostana 2 and Takht, both are directed by Karan Johar.
