Shah Rukh Khan and his fans are eagerly anticipating the release of the upcoming Bollywood film Jawan, which was set to hit theatres on June 2. Directed by Atlee Kumar, the film is a Pan-India production, featuring a star-studded cast that includes Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, Yogi Babu, and Ridhi Dogra, as well as a cameo appearance by Deepika Padukone.
The excitement around Jawan has only increased with the news that Sanjay Dutt will reportedly be joining the cast for a special cameo role crucial to the film’s storyline. SRK & Sanjay will shoot for 4-5 days in Mumbai as per reports.
“Sanjay Dutt is reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan on Jawan for a brief but effective and action-packed cameo in Jawan. The duo will be shooting together over the next 4 to 5 days at a studio in Mumbai, and it’s a big dramatic action the scene forming an integral part of the film’s narrative,” Pinkvilla quoted its source as saying. The character warranted the presence of someone with an extraordinary actor and that’s when the makers preferred Sanjay Dutt. “Sanjay dutt returned to Mumbai from his Leo shoot in Kashmir on Sunday noon and 24 hours later, he is all charged up to shoot an action scene with SRK on Jawan,” its source added.
At present, the shooting of Jawan is in its final phase. It is rumored that Deepika Padukone will also be joining the cast for a two-day shoot on March 27th and 28th. Recently, there have been discussions within the industry about Jawan’s release date being moved from the already announced June 2nd to September or Christmas. However, no official confirmation has been received yet, indicating that the film is still scheduled for release on June 2nd. A final decision on the release date of Jawan will be made by Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee after the completion of the shoot, which is expected to be on or before April 10th. They have also kept open the option of releasing the film in October or December.
